That is how I put it to one of my customers, and it is the whole idea. The tools, the parts, and the mechanic come to your driveway, your office lot, or the shoulder where it quit. Here is what I handle on site:
A/C & refrigerant
Compressors, clutches, wiring that needs real solder, vacuum pull and recharge. My specialty, more on it below.
Batteries & charging
Alternators, batteries, cables hooked up wrong, and the reason it clicks but will not turn over.
Brakes, steering, suspension
Stuck brake lights, control arms, steering that stopped feeling right. Fixed where the car sits.
Leaks & diagnostics
I find the problem and tell you straight what it needs and what it costs, before I touch a wrench.
Pumps, timing, belts
Fuel pumps, water pumps, timing kits, serpentine belts. Parts in the box, swapped in your driveway.
Electrical & resets
Chewed wiring, bad grounds, modules that need a reset to get you back on the road.
MY SPECIALTY
Ice cold, same day.
Arizona is probably the worst state to deal with A/C issues, especially having kids that suffer in this heat. So I do not make you wait on a shop queue. I diagnose at your curb, bring the compressor, pull a proper vacuum, recharge, and you feel the vents blow cold before I pack up.
Within about 5 mins of starting, Louie found the problem… He even got a cold drink for me and even made sure that I was comfortable in front of the swamp cooler he had running. My final cost, exactly what he told me plus the part.
He carefully replaced the compressor, soldered the wiring harness because the new unit had a different connector, pulled a proper vacuum, and recharged the system. The AC now blows ice cold.

Showed up to my house within 2 hours notice at 7pm and brought everything and got it done in less than 2 hour. Ac works better than when I bought the car years ago.
My A/C broke driving from SD to Phoenix, gave him a call, he showed up the same day and fix the problem, he is honest and he didn’t over price like other mechanics.
My AC is better than it’s ever worked. He stayed with the job until it was finished.

Open when it breaks.
The desert runs on a different clock. Cars die in a work lot at 9 PM, in a driveway before a dawn shift, on the way home from a night out. I keep the phone on around the clock, so the fix does not have to wait for business hours.
AROUND 8:30 PMHe came out the same day I texted him, even though it was late (around 8:30 PM), and fixed my alternator quickly and professionally.
LATE EVENINGMessaged him and within an hour he was at my place and had the problem fixed in a few minutes. Also did the fix that day and in the late evening which was super helpful.
LATE AT NIGHTHe responded back quickly and came right even though it was late at night. My steering wheel was fixed and he did a great job!
